Freightwaves tech award

FreightWaves names HAQM Freight #3 on the 2025 FreightTech 25

Innovation is at the core of what we do at HAQM Freight, giving shippers access to the technology and assets that make the HAQM network flow. Our efforts were recognized by FreightWaves when they named HAQM Freight as the #3 freight tech company for 2025. HAQM Freight has been a top winner since the awards began.

“We all know how forward-looking HAQM Freight is,” said Craig Fuller, founder of FreightWaves. “But what stands out is their relentless devotion to pioneering new and better ways to give outside shippers entry points into the HAQM network for their freight needs.”

For HAQM Freight, innovation has always started with our customers and building solutions precisely for them. Our first leadership principle is that we “obsess over customers,” and it’s a dedication we take seriously. We look at what the customer need is and work backwards from there.

You can see it in the tech we deploy, such as AI to optimize our network and keep it safe and moving on-time. On the road, our smart trailers send signals back to our teams so we know when there are disruptions and can swiftly mitigate them. In our yards, we let tech do much of the work that keeps drivers and associates safe. This creates a reliable and cutting-edge transportation solution for shippers big and small.

“The spirit of HAQM is to listen closely to our customers and methodically invent our way out of each challenge with technology,” said Ari Silkey, General Manager of HAQM Freight. “The transportation space has plenty of areas for improvement, and it’s an honor to see FreightWaves recognize our startup mentality and the many teams at HAQM Freight, HAQM Freight Partner, and Relay that make our innovations come to life.”

The FreightWaves 100 is created by a panel of journalists, analysts, and transportation experts. The top 25 were selected based on voting from a collection of executives, investors, and academics from across the industry. You can read more about the process here.

“What is exciting about this recognition is that we are just getting started and there’s lots more to come in 2025,” said Silkey. “Our future holds new modes of transportation and powerful innovations to optimize our network so shippers can tap into it to move their freight in new and more efficient ways.”

The awards were announced at the FreightWaves Future of Freight Festival where HAQM Freight, along with HAQM Freight Partner and Relay, was a title sponsor.

Dry van features make them the most important box in shipping for a good reason—shippers can put almost anything inside. But what are the capabilities and limitations of what they can haul?
One of the first decisions shippers face when booking a load is whether to schedule a less-than-truckload—LTL—shipment or a full-truckload, known as FTL. Both play an important role in the movement of goods, but there are distinct differences between the two.
