The peak season is on the horizon. Though this comes with colder temperatures and snowy roads, the transportation industry is anticipating and gearing up for the coming months. At HAQM Freight, we are preparing for this busy time and have a lot going on. Here are some of the top happenings from across the business:
1. The edge of the supply chain
If there’s one place you’ll hear some of the leading minds in transportation, it’s the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Edge conference October 1-4. Supply chain leaders and academics will come together to learn what is shaping the industry, and HAQM Freight will be there.
You’ll hear from Rebecca Salt, Director at HAQM Freight, on the ways shippers are moving forward with their freight procurement and transportation strategies in the wake of COVID-19. In Shedding the bad, keeping the good: how shippers are rethinking freight for the future, she’ll unpack findings from a recent survey conducted by Supply Chain Quarterly and HAQM Freight. She’ll explore what they mean for your organization and how HAQM Freight can help. Her session takes place at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3 in the Lafayette 3 room.
Rebecca will also be joined by members of the HAQM Freight sales team. Stop by the booth to get an analysis of your shipping needs, see what’s happening at HAQM Freight, or just chat about the latest happenings in the industry.
2. New package delivery service: HAQM Shipping
Every business needs agility when it comes to package shipping. Now HAQM has that option with the launch of HAQM Shipping last month.
Available to HAQM selling partners, the service is backed by HAQM’s reliable transportation network. It delivers seller-fulfilled orders, including those placed on HAQM.com, as well as orders on a seller’s website and other selling channels. Deliveries are completed between two to five days.
Sellers choose HAQM Shipping because they can get affordable rates, fast shipping, and reliable on-time service with real-time tracking and photo on delivery. HAQM Shipping offers fewer fees, including no residential or weekend delivery fees, and keeps business moving forward with pickup and delivery seven days a week, including weekends.
It’s another way HAQM’s customer obsessed approach finds a customer need and delivers a capability. As one HAQM Shipper customer puts it, “The service has been quick and reliable…we are able to be more competitive and offer a better service to our customers. It’s a win-win.”

3. Lots of events, lots of learning
September has been a jampacked time for transportation industry events and get-togethers. Earlier in the month, HAQM Freight did the triple play of HAQM Accelerate, IANA Expo, and e2open Connect.
At HAQM Accelerate we met with many of HAQM’s sellers and had discussions about how we can support their transportation needs including moving goods inbound to HAQM’s network. The ultimate takeaway for us was that we were able to connect with many of our customers. “No shipper is the same and every week in the supply chain is different,” said Rebecca Salt, Director at HAQM Freight. “Gatherings like these give us a chance to hear the challenges our customers are facing so we are always in tune with their needs and can improve how we serve them.”
We want to thank all our partners who helped put on these events to make them a success. Be sure to check out the HAQM Transportation, Shipping, and Logistics LinkedIn page for photos from all the shows.
Have a great start to your peak season! Stay up to speed on everything that’s happening at HAQM Freight on our News Updates page.
